David A. Carey, beloved husband of Maureen M. Carey of Street, MD; step father of Todd Newman, Maureen Curtis and husband Mike Curtis; step grandfather of Mackenzie, Morgan and Matthew Curtis, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 13, 2009.

David is also survived by his mother, Ruth Bauer, brother, Richard Carey, and two sisters Pamela Glendinning Carey and Denise Carey Weber of NY.
David was born on March 18, 1952 in Roslyn, NY the third child of Paul A. Carey of Denver, CO, and Ruth Marie Bauer of the Bronx, NY.
He spent his youth in Great Neck and Pleasantville, NY graduating from Pleasantville HS in 1970. After attending a Billy Graham Crusade on 6/18/69 at Madison Square Garden David devoted his life to serving the Lord.

He attended Kings College and Lancaster Bible College. For more than twenty years David served Fellowship Chapel in various leadership roles including serving as a Deacon for the church. He was employed by EDS as a Systems and Network Engineer. David was an avid scuba diver and aquatic enthusiast for over thirty years. He instructed others as a NASDS & NAUI scuba instructor at Divers Den in Baltimore, MD for ~20 years. David was also an active member of the NATSA and NTI at West Shore Sportsmen Assoc in PA.
